The tiling of downstairs has finally finished. I’m waiting for my son and husband to help with moving all the furniture back into place. I get frustrated when I can’t do things by myself, but I hurt my back trying to move something so I don’t have a choice. Both my husband and son worked all day today so no moving was done.
The windows and venetian blinds downstairs were filthy, and they weren’t going to clean themselves, so I spent all day cleaning them all. (As well as doing 3 loads of washing). Not my favourite way of passing a Saturday, but thankfully it’s all done now. The family room is still chaotic, with all Master Sammyleia’s stuff and my craft stuff and goodness knows what else. As soon as I can get help with the furniture moving I can start to tackle it all.
I’m still sorting through heaps of files and papers and have them all upstairs making a mess. I’m totally over mess and want it all gone. Trouble is, I procrastinate with throwing out papers. What if I need them later?! Oh dear!
This week has been busy with all the usual commitments. Last Sunday we had lunch with some friends, which was very enjoyable. My allocated weekly spending money was allocated like this:
$10.45 for a roast lunch with other volunteers
$10 Church donation
$22 on the clothing lay-by (I need to stop buying clothes!!!)
$50 for an accupuncturist visit
I put $171 on the credit card for a hair cut and colour – not good I know.
Decluttering has been lots of un-needed papers.
I’m way behind with checking emails and blogs 
Some good news though is that Master Sammyleia got the results back for 2 of his 3 subjects, and he got a Distinction in both of them! I’m very proud of him.
Miss Sammyleia has been sick for most of the week with a bad bout of gastro. She has been looking forward to going to the Lady Gaga concert for ages, but unfortunately was too sick to go. I felt very sorry for her.
Next week is more of the usual stuff. I can’t wait for our holiday in August!

I hate cleaning windows too. It was my goal for June to tackle all of the windows in our house but I only cleaned half of them

I bet you are going to love your newly tiled and cleaned space when it is all back together! Regarding holding on to papers – When was the last time you threw one away and then needed it and couldn’t replace it? Rarely do we have anything on paper (other than legal or tax documents) that are really necessary to keep IMO. I’d say go for it and get rid of them. You’ll feel free.
You’re right Juhli, I should just fling the lot of them, instead of whittling them away little by little. It’s really hard though!
